Idyllic Historic Mill Conversion

When living in the in throng of a bustling city like Edinburgh, it is so important to be able to withdraw oneself to a place of peace and serenity for sanity’s sake. However for those of us not quite wealthy enough to own one property never mind one in town and a place in the country, we must multitask.

Enter 3/1 Bonnyhaugh Lane. Once you’ve worked out how to pronounce it, let me show you around.

Nestled in the back streets of the Bonnington area, this little snapshot of country life is the ultimate sanctuary. As you can see, the traditional mill wheel still takes pride of place along side the cherry trees at the front of the property, giving a very ‘ye olde’ charm. With only one bedroom, this would be an ideal first time buy for a couple looking to cosy up in the snug living room, or bask in the courtyard. I can’t resist the stable door in the kitchen and seriously hope that whoever is selling this property, is going somewhere else that has one, cause once you have a stable door, there’s not return!

I could really see myself living somewhere like this; I’m a ‘best of both’ kinda gal. I love being in and about all the to-ings and fro-ings of the city, but am a real country girl at heart. Right, I’ve sold it to myself, off to put in an offer… (lol, can I borrow £145’000 from someone?!)
